Standing Stone

Dry Stone Dykes

Here are a few examples of some dry stone dykes I have built over the years

Near Aberfoyle

The steps of the stile allow the oil delivery driver to reach the tank that is hidden on the other side

Blue liked to look down the road by standing on the broken wall by the gate. Well, a good guard dog needs a decent platform from which to perform his duties.

Before

This sloping garden in Falkirk had been terraced using drab concrete block 30 years ago.

With the wall in such a poor state, the owners were looking to add value to their property without breaking the bank.

After

With the concrete gone and a dry stone wall in place, the garden outlook is much brighter.

Simply using the original line of the terracing, the right choice of stone to match the house makes a huge difference.
